Thank you for your interest in Dartmouth Yoga and Wellness Studio.

At Dartmouth Yoga our approach is very simple. We aspire to teach all aspects of the original view of yoga.

This view, realized more than five thousand years ago by the Sages, has been taught from person to person ever since. Its simplicity is quite profound. Yoga clarifies confusion by calming the lake of the mind through the physical practice and meditation. Over time, with exertion, clarity will dawn.

The practice of yoga works well in any environment, even in this buzzing world that we live in.

Increased strength, increased flexibility, increased mobility, increased bone density, increased breath capacity, increased energy, reduced toxins, and increased longevity, are a few of the physical side affects of yoga practice.

Equanimity, being more present, reduced stress, reduced suffering, letting go, and clarity, are some direct affects.

Yoga will get lost in the technical. The practice of yoga and meditation relies primarily on direct experience.

The future has not yet happened, the past is over…there is only now. If you are fully present in this moment, that is yoga.
